Three Hot Home Trends For 2022 You Can Emulate In Your Property

Home trends for 2022

You, like many others, may have set yourself the New Year’s Resolution of reimagining your home in 2022.

That is sound thinking and there’s no time like the present to do it.

But, before you do anything, are you aware of the latest home trends and the most fashionable things to do right at this moment?

If you’re not, don’t panic.

County can let you into the key colours and themes that people will be going crazy for over the next 12 months so that you can put some of them into practice during the project.

Multi-functional spaces

Without even realising it, you might just be able to get more out of your home.

It’s something that a lot of workers had to do last year, partially converting their bedrooms into makeshift offices, and in 2022, homeowners will want rooms that don’t just double-up, but triple-up as different things.

So, in that guest room where friends occasionally sleep, install a Peloton bike for exercising and maybe also a foldaway desk for working, and use your conservatory as both a conference room and entertainment area.

Work every room in your house HARD!

Grandmillennial style

It’s been a tough couple of years for us all and our homes have offered us a crumb of comfort – much needed too!

As a child, where’s the most comfortable place you remember being in? For some, it will be in their Grandparent’s house.

The recent emergence of the Grandmillennial style is very much driven by such recollections and seeing those in their mid 20’s to late 30’s filling their living spaces with treasured family mementoes, old China, patterned fabrics, florals and frills.

What could be more joyous and uplifting than that?

‘No’ to white

White is quite a cold colour, not the type of colour that’s likely to keep your spirits high. You want something more vibrant and Pantone’s 2022 Colour of the Year is certainly that.

“Very Peri” is a specially commissioned colour, a periwinkle blue with rich violet undertones – anything but understated. Subtle injections of the colour will really make their mark.

Warm shades of brown will also be in favour, particularly those earthy tones and colours found in nature, such as chocolate brown and terracotta.

There are plenty of leather sofas out there that carry these shades, and your window treatments can also incorporate them.

Once you have finished following these trends, you will have new-found excitement for home living – a great way to begin a brand-new year.
