Windows are such an integral part of a home, so when they need updating, it’s very important to recruit the best window company, but how do you know who that is?
All will be revealed by County in this article so that you can pinpoint someone who will supply quality double or triple glazed windows and fit them to the highest possible standard.
What Indicates The “Best” Window Company?
Any installer can state they’re the best window company, but do they have evidence to back that up, such as an extensive roster of previous and happy customers, excellent guarantee etc? Offering the cheapest deal simply isn’t enough!
Additional green flags include a good mix of window styles and colours and a diligent approach to installation, with a demonstration of precision to enable replacement designs to perform.
Experience And Accessible Showroom
Installers with experience behind them should have a large portfolio of work and you’re advised to view some of the past projects they’ve done. Uncover if they have a showroom too.
- Case Studies: Get an idea of what an installer can do for your home with a look at some of their case studies, which will showcase the types of homes they improve.
- Installer Process: Does the installer have experts in-house who can oversee all elements of installation or will sub-contractors conduct parts of it?
Home Visit And Survey
Be cautious of an installer who quotes a price for window fitting without carrying out a survey first. Window surveys involve assessment of things like the openings and enable accurate costing.
The surveyor measures the height and width of openings, checks their condition and also looks over the frames, ventilation and brickwork.
You’re encouraged to ask the surveyor questions while they’re at your home and inform them of any specific requirements. Such conversation will give some insight into the capability of the company.
It would be a mistake to perceive someone providing an overly cheap quote as the best if that’s all they have to offer – there’s got to be more substance.
County can stake a strong claim as being one of the UK’s best window companies as we’ve been elevating homes for over 40 years, have a large bank of positive customer referrals, own two stylish showrooms and hand out an impressive guarantee.
