Re the purchase and fitting of a new front door - great workmanship and overall very professional service end-to-end

Fantastic new front door! We decided on a Timber Windows front door and side windows and were pointed in the direction of County Home Improvers. Their service was faultless. They were happy to tweak my design a few times until I was absolutely satisfied. The product is an outstanding one - high quality, very well made. On the day of installation, they arrived on time, removed our old front door and side windows and replaced it with the new ones within hours. They were professional, tidy and their workmanship was excellent. Overall, we could not be happier with our new entrance. Well worth spending a bit extra to get a top quality product!

I was delighted with the quality and installation of the 3 French doors and 8 windows that I had completed last year that I decided to carry on the job with the last 2 windows. I am pleased to say it was the same experience. The fitters are all conscientious and experienced so the final result was a delight.

From the outset everything was made easy and we were really impressed with your installers who worked so hard and were so pleasant on some of the hottest days days this Summer. Everything was left tidy and the glazing is wonderful. This is the second batch of timber windows we have had installed by County after a truly awful experience with a different company whose name began with an E. The surveyor (Alan) really knows his job and is clearly very experienced. The windows from County are also really good quality with small window bars that let as much light as possible though. But it is the installation teams they use that are in my opinion provide the real point of difference. Both times they have been courteous, quiet, efficient and cleared up well at the end of each day. They took the time to explain things and problem solve with us when our Victorian cottage was out of true, and in these uncertain times, followed all the Covid rules around wearing face masks etc. Many thanks to Tyler and Callum.

I recently had County - The Home Improvers replace the front door on my cottage. Two years ago I had them replace all my windows and my back door. I can not recommend this company enough. Every aspect of dealing with this company is a pleasure. From the first to the last interactions County are professional, knowledgeable and committed to providing the best quality products and service. Prior to buying I visited the Heathfield Centre and the Tunbridge Wells showroom. The sales people are very organised, listen to your requirements, make suggestions and ensure that you get what you need / require rather than trying to sell you more! Once you buy the good service continues. The surveyor and office staff keep you informed and do their very best to ensure the process is smooth and trouble free. When they arrange an appoint, to measure up or to install they always turn up and on time! they promptly respond to all calls and emails. The installation teams are friendly and professional, ensuring you are fully happy before, during and after the installations and make sure they fully clean up after themselves. Another nice touch was that both installation teams that dealt with me were family teams, one a father and son, the other a father and daughter. This company fully appreciate that it is your choice, that it is your home and that you are spending a lot of money, so do all they can to make the whole thing a good experience. Definitely use them again.

We have a listed property so getting the windows right was important to obtain approval from the council. The windows look really good and we have been complimented on them by several people. The two men who came to install were brilliant. They were tidy and very respectful of our home with any small comments we had being dealt with promptly and efficiently.

We received wonderful, friendly and professional service from start to finish. During the tricky times of Covid, we were kept informed of any delays regarding suppliers, and County did all they could to ensure we had our door fitted as soon as possible. We are thrilled with the quality of our new front door. Thank you for such wonderful service.

We have recently had a second phase of windows and doors installed at our property by County Home Improvers. With 20 Windows and 4 doors to be installed, it was a big job taking over 2 weeks. Once again we were really impressed with the installation job by Kevin and Mitchell. They were considerate, tidy, friendly and organised throughout and once again the skill and care taken with every aspect was impressive. Our windows have now been finished and I have signed and returned with Jim, the letter that needed signing on completion of the work. We would like to express how wonderful Jim has been. Our house is not straightforward and he gave every window the extra care that was needed to fit them in a sympathetic way. After the first few days of different fitters turning up it was wonderful to have Jim as a constant here. He was always on time in the mornings, polite, careful to cover our belongings and always tidied up at the end of the day. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we can not thank him enough. We are very happy with our new windows and we now feel as though we have a new house!

The glazing elements of our orangery product are all very good quality, measured, designed and installed without any real issues, very pleased. Our survey scores reflect the other elements of the whole project, some of the issues we experienced were down to the wettest Autumn on record.

I'm writing to thank County for an excellent job on replacing the windows of my cottage. This week Ryan and Tyler replaced timber windows in my cottage's bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and porch. They have done a fantastic job and have been polite, helpful tidy and thoughtful. They worked fast and carefully and the quality of what they have done is great. Its not an easy job as the cottage was built in the early 1800s and nothing here was straight of square before my lovely new windows! Next week I'm going to be working away while you rebuild my bay window and add new windows. I would normally never be away when building work is going on but based in the the service I have received this week, I am reassured that all will be fine. I am writing to thank you for the installation of our fire replacement windows. They were completed over two days, 22nd and 23rd January. We had used your company previously for the rest of our windows over 8 years ago which still look good. I wanted to specifically thank and mention Kevin and Ryan. Dear Dean, Following completion of the install of our new Evolution windows and french doors, we wanted to feed back to you how pleased we are with the outcome. The quality and appearance of the product is very good and the final result is all that we wished for. It is a big improvement to our home. The service we have received from County has been very good throughout. We particularly appreciated the way we were always made aware of exactly how things would be done and the plan of when things would be done and any schedules were either adhered to or bettered. From the first moment we walked into your Heathfield showroom, the whole process was easy, professional and efficient. Special mention must go to your installers, Pete and Liam, whose workmanship and attention to detail is very good indeed. They were calm, courteous, friendly and most respectful of our home. Aside from a couple of items that needed to be re-ordered, the job was completed on schedule and with minimum disruption. Pete always kept us updated with current progress and the plan for the following day, so we were able to organise our home around the work. We are still amazed at how much they achieved in the time and the standard of the finish is excellent. I think every project presents its own small unexpected difficulties and ours was no exception although any issues were minimal and speedily resolved, which I always feel is the true measure of a good company. The only problem worthy of any note concerns a tiled window ledge but after discussing various options with ourselves, Pete creatively implemented a solution which we feel is an improvement, so we thank him for that. I should also mention that after some heavy rain overnight I jokingly apologised to Pete the next day that a gutter full of Autumn leaves had splashed water over one of his freshly installed windows. When Liam was next up the ladders, he cleared the gutter for us! That is definitely above and beyond what anyone would expect, so thanks also to Liam. Following our experience with County, we would have no hesitation in calling upon your services in the future.

The lady we met in the Southborough branch was lovely and was able to show us a wide array of products. Bertrand Dupont then came around to meet us at home, take measurements and give us more detail about the options that were available to us. He was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful. We did not feel under any pressure to make decisions quickly. The surveyor came shortly after we decided to proceed with an order and was very efficient and professional. The two gentlemen who installed our front door were very charming and did an excellent job! They were clean and tidy throughout and a pleasure to have working in our home for the day. We are very pleased with the end result and feel that the whole process from planning through to installation went very smoothly. We would not hesitate to recommend you to our friends and family based on professionalism, price, good workmanship and quality of the product/installation.

We are delighted with our new windows. Your installers – Tim and Christian – were exemplary and the end results of their hard work (not forgetting yours too) are wonderful. The units themselves are well made and have improved both the look and comfort of the property, exceeding my expectations. As you know, the weather last week was very challenging to say the least. Special thanks must go to Jim for persisting with the installation. This in spite of snow and wind chill, at time of -11C. I am very pleased to report that the doors look superb and without doubt better than we had dared hoped. This was due in no small part to your fantastic installer team. Ours was never going to be a straightforward project, the house is early 1930s and has had little structurally done to the main fabric since it was constructed. Due to the skilled craftsmanship of Jim and Michael they overcame, without drama, the inevitable challenges that the installations posed. And they did so with a truly keen eye for detail, with attention paid to even the smallest facet of the finish. Throughout, they kept us both fully appraised of progress and made sure we were given the necessary information to allow us to select surrounds, trims etc.

Delighted; the windows and door have transformed the look of the front elevation. It looks magnificent.
